On April 14, Zhang Chuanwei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Mingyang Group, visited Huairou Laboratory, a new national scientific research institution, and held discussions with Tang Guangfu, Director of Huairou Laboratory and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Liu Lianyu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Mingyang Group, also attended the discussion.

Tang Guangfu extended a warm welcome to Zhang Chuanwei and his delegation, and introduced the scientific research achievements and technological breakthroughs made in the energy field over the past three years since the establishment of the laboratory, and reviewed the docking and cooperation process with relevant ministries, governments and enterprises. He said that the Huairou Laboratory will continue to focus on strategic, forward-looking and basic scientific and technological research in the energy field, and be committed to scientific and technological innovation in the field of new energy. It will adhere to the strategic orientation of "four aspects" and look forward to working with Mingyang Group to carry out comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in new energy such as wind, solar and hydrogen, new power systems, transformation of achievements, and innovation of application scenarios, so as to drive the industrial upgrading of enterprises through the trial of technologies and accelerate the cultivation of green new quality productivity.

Huairou Laboratory is a new national scientific research institution in the field of energy and an important part of the national strategic scientific and technological strength. Huairou Laboratory's scientific research strength and technical reserves in the field of new energy are highly consistent with Mingyang's strategy. The prospects for cooperation between the two sides are broad. We look forward to working closely with Huairou Laboratory and making progress together to strengthen the deep integration of production, learning, research and application, promote new energy technological innovation and achievement transformation, and jointly create a highland for new energy technological innovation.

Zhang Chuanwei expressed his expectation that the two sides would establish a long-term cooperation mechanism in the application scenarios and talent training of offshore wind power, power electronics, digital wind tunnels, floating ocean energy islands, flexible direct current, and green electricity hydrogen ammonia, conduct regular technical exchanges and special scientific research cooperation, and jointly explore new technologies, new models and new business forms in the field of new energy, contributing wisdom and strength to the "dual carbon" goals and comprehensive green transformation and development.

Mingyang Group and Huairou Laboratory signed a strategic cooperation agreement in November 2024, and signed a technical cooperation agreement with the National Huairou Laboratory Renewable Energy Research Center. The two parties will work together to promote the transformation and application of research and development results, and promote the implementation and promotion of scientific and technological achievements in the industry.
