From November 11 to 22, the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. This conference is committed to achieving new climate financing goals, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and building climate-resilient communities. Ding Xuexiang, Special Representative of President Xi Jinping, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, Babayev, President of COP29, Hart, Special Advisor on Climate Action and Just Transition of the UN Secretary-General, Saulo, Secretary-General of the World Meteorological Organization, and Kishore, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction and Director of the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, attended and delivered speeches.
As a leading company in the global new energy equipment industry and a provider of overall clean energy solutions, Ming Yang was invited to participate in COP29 and shared its Chinese wind power technology, Ming Yang's global solutions and related cases. Together with Zhao Yingmin, head of the Chinese delegation to COP29 and vice minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Liu Zhenmin, China's special envoy for climate change, Hamraj, deputy executive secretary of the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Dechin Tsering, director of the United Nations Environment Programme Asia-Pacific Office, Hailemariam Desalegn, former prime minister of Ethiopia and chairman of the African Green Revolution League, and other guests, the conference aimed to make new and greater contributions to accelerating the global clean energy transition and addressing global climate change.
Ming Yang's global new energy solutions were shared at the conference
Ming Yang adheres to the concept of "global cooperation and global sharing" and conducts new energy technology cooperation and business in Asia, Europe, America and other countries. It also conducts technical cooperation, resource coordination and supply chain system construction with many well-known universities and international certification and testing institutions in Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, the United Kingdom and other countries. As of now, Ming Yang has a cumulative installed capacity of nearly 100GW worldwide, more than 1,500 new energy projects in operation around the world, and nearly 20,000 offshore and onshore wind turbines in operation, generating environmental benefits equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 152 million tons per year, which is equivalent to planting 8.7 billion trees per year, and is committed to contributing to global sustainable development.
Mingyang's international business was launched as early as 2008. For more than ten years, it has been constantly improving its adaptability and application scenarios in the global market, as well as the reliability of its product platforms and solutions. Today, its technology, products, solutions, professionalism, response speed, and full life cycle operation and maintenance service capabilities have been deeply recognized by the market.
At the conference, when asked about the experience and solutions of cooperating with the new energy projects of the countries along the Belt and Road, Wang Lihe, general manager of Mingyang Middle East and North Africa Center, said that on the one hand, China's renewable energy industry can participate in the construction of the Belt and Road market , and transform the local green resources, such as wind power, photovoltaics and other resources that can bring green and clean energy, into economic potential. This transformation process is green and sustainable, which is conducive to the green transformation and high-quality development of these countries. On the other hand, the Belt and Road Initiative provides a broad market for China's wind power and photovoltaic manufacturing companies . Chinese companies have contributed to the knowledge system, capacity building and environmental governance construction of green development in the countries along the Belt and Road by providing green technology, green products, green finance and green solutions.
Taking the Ca Mau WTO wind power project in Vietnam as an example, the project installed 75 Ming Yang MySE5MW wind turbines. It is currently the largest single offshore wind power project developed in Vietnam. It is a business card for the countries along the “Belt and Road” to jointly achieve the goal of carbon neutrality. It is also an important milestone project to showcase Ming Yang’s technology, products, services and realize its international market strategy. Ming Yang provided high-quality overall solutions and localized operation and maintenance services for this project and local customers.
Mingyang's zero-carbon solution unveiled at COP29
The zero-carbon clean energy supply system project of Mingyang Industrial Park in Ximeng was selected into the "Zero-Carbon China Story" and released globally in the UNFCCC press conference hall and the "Energy Day" in the China Corner , showing the world China's practical actions to address climate change, as well as China's new progress, new achievements and new results in the field of renewable energy, contributing China's strength to the development of global renewable energy.
The Mingyang project selected this time is equipped with wind turbines, distributed rooftop photovoltaic systems and electrochemical energy storage. The total annual power generation of wind power and photovoltaic power generation in the system exceeds 20 million kWh, which can fully meet the clean electricity demand for electricity and heating in the park. The system project builds an integrated intelligent management platform of "source-grid-load-storage" and a smart energy management platform to achieve ubiquitous energy information interconnection, promote the deep integration of informatization and industrialization, and sell the remaining electricity to the outside world in the form of surplus electricity access. The project can reduce the consumption of standard coal by about 6,576 tons and carbon dioxide emissions by 17,500 tons each year, while reducing a large amount of SO2, NOX and dust emissions, with good economic and social benefits. It is worth mentioning that this project has won the honorary title of "China Industrial Sustainable Development Exploration and Practice Case Award" by Forbes and "China's Top Ten Carbon Neutrality Demonstration Typical Cases" by the China Energy Research Association.
In addition, Mingyang's sustainable audio-visual achievement "The Sound of the Deep Sea" of "Heart of the Earth" was broadcast during COP29. This audio-visual achievement is a cross-border public welfare project initiated by Mingyang on marine ecological protection. It has collected nearly 100 submissions from universities, institutions and individuals at home and abroad, and selected marine sound materials from the United States, Indonesia, Australia and many places in China, including whale calls, sea singing, artificial operations, and the sounds of coral reef fish. With the academic support of Cornell University and Lancaster University, the Shanghai Conservatory of Music recreated the sounds from the deep sea, composed the melody, and created the music. It aims to explore the coexistence relationship between humans and marine ecology by gathering the wisdom and creativity of all sectors of society. The ocean is not only the source of human life, but also brings surging power to high-efficiency and environmentally friendly new quality productivity.
Smart energy, benefiting the world. Mingyang has extensively explored the "Belt and Road" and emerging overseas markets, forming a business layout in Southeast Asia, East Asia, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. So far, Mingyang wind turbines have been exported to Japan, South Korea, Italy, Vietnam, Brazil, the Philippines and other countries. In the past year, it has won wind power orders in markets such as Italy and Serbia, and its products and services have been fully recognized by international partners. In the future, Mingyang Group will continue to promote global cooperation in the field of new energy and contribute Chinese wisdom and strength to the green development of world energy.
