Mingyang Photovoltaic Glass helps build China's first 150-meter super-high-rise BIPV building

2025-04-17

On March 19, the National Development and Reform Commission issued a notice to solicit public opinions on the "List of Green and Low-carbon Advanced Technology Demonstration Projects (First Batch)". The document shows that there are 47 green and low-carbon advanced demonstration projects of the National Development and Reform Commission, of which only 3 are in the construction group. The Science and Technology Innovation Building Project of China Construction Fourth Engineering Bureau is on the list as a "process carbon reduction" construction project.

*The first list of green and low-carbon advanced technology demonstration projects includes 47 projects in total, covering source carbon reduction in batteries, wind power, nuclear power, geothermal energy, coal, energy storage, power grid, green hydrogen, etc.; process carbon reduction in industry, construction, transportation, coordinated pollution reduction and carbon reduction; and end-use carbon fixation in terms of carbon dioxide resource utilization and carbon fixation. These three major directions also reflect the general trend of green and low-carbon technologies in the future.

The Science and Technology Innovation Building project of China Construction Fourth Engineering Bureau is located in the core area of Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, the East District of Guangzhou International Financial City. It aims to build a super-class A office building that leads the future. Under the premise of ensuring the overall appearance of the building, the project installs photovoltaic power generation glass provided by Mingyang Thin Film Technology on the horizontal decorative line of the curtain wall eaves . This innovative design not only makes full use of solar energy resources, but also realizes climate intelligent sensing and photovoltaic power generation monitoring through the intelligent control system, ensuring the photovoltaic power generation grid connection throughout the life cycle.

It is worth mentioning that Mingyang photovoltaic glass has already been successfully used in another high-rise building (120 meters above the ground) - the Nanning China Resources Twenty-Four Cities BIPV project, and has accumulated rich experience in the application of BIPV photovoltaic glass in super high-rise buildings .

The China Construction Fourth Engineering Bureau Science and Technology Innovation Building project continues to use large-size Mingyang power-generating glass, making full use of its good low-light properties and low dependence on inclination angles. It adopts a model of self-generation and self-use and connecting surplus electricity to the grid. It not only helps to achieve the carbon neutrality goal and improve the energy structure, but also actively explores the application of new energy technologies in building energy conservation, urban power supply, heating, and other fields, providing new sustainable energy solutions for super high-rise buildings.
